This show sounds great Connor and right up my alley. I'll definitely be seeking it out. The references to British mob drama and Guy Ritchie got me thinking though: have you watched Gangs of London? It's a stand-alone drama series from Gareth Evans, who directed the two films in The Raid series and recently Apostle for Netflix. Worth your time if you're into familial mob drama with stylistic action sequences.

Have not, but I love The Raid! I'll definitely check it out, thanks

I've been reading The Death of Caesar by Strauss and just got to a lengthy discussion in this line of the different blades which might have been used, the maintenance necessary to keep daggers sharp, the difficulty a sword would have stabbing through a toga. The practicality of stabbing a man to death is very unpleasant and not as cool as I had been lead to believe by certain films!

Yeah come to think of it, if the fabric is decently thick, seems like it might be a bit of a challenge. I wonder if any of their blades glanced off Caesar at first
